Interns Suck Part II
Okay -- so, today, I was discussing a brochure design with an intern who has this very irritating habit of rambling about things -- just going on and on and on about a project. She makes things much more difficult than they need to be. She asks a million questions, but usually so she can tell you what the answer is. She talks to me like I'm in kindergarten. And, I can tell she is addicted to drama -- since, more than once, she has shared a long and terribly uninteresting antecdote about something that sounds like a Jerry Springer episode.
Also -- on a cattier note -- I have this pet peeve about really bad grammar. She has terrible grammar -- and it's like nails on a chalkboard, especially since she tends to talk so much. I wouldn't hold it against her except that I have watched her lie and manipulate other people. And, as much as I don't like bad grammar, it is nothing compared to the act of being fake and manipulative. Put the two together and they make -- that's right, everybody, a Jerry Springer episode.
Anyway, she plays this wide-eyed innocent bit -- she's, like, approaching 30, so I don't know why she thinks it still works. She acts as though she is just sharing "purely out of concern," then she raises the dagger and strikes from behind.
Today, as we were discussing the brochure -- she explained to me exactly what - a - "brochure" is. Thank you very much (retarded). I'm really glad I have an intern around to explain something so complicated (sarcasm). I've just been producing them for 4 years. Plus, I knew what a brochure was when I was like 10.
Then, she proceeded to tell me exactly what I should do next to manage the project. Really? Do you think?
Interns Suck.

Come to think of it, I think I did see her on Jerry Springer. She was the one that was fighting her brother/husband that was sleeping with her best friend's third cousin while getting her sister pregnant.
